Sinorock self-drilling anchor system consists of a fully threaded hollow-core steel bar which can be drilled and grouted into loose or collapsing ground without casing and acts as reinforcing element according to Ground Engineering principals e.g. Soil nail, Rock bolt or anchor. The bar features a hollow core for passing of flushing medium (air or water) and can be drilled and then post grouted as well as installed using simultaneous drilling and grouting. The bar is manufactured with a continuous left hand thread (“R” for Rope and T“ for Trapezoidal thread) and can be extended by the use of extension couplings, while connecting via standard drilling adapters to the rotary percussion drill head (also called Rock drill or Drifter) used on the feed of the drilling equipment. This rotary percussion drill head then provides and passes the rotation and impact energy through the threaded hollow steel bar down to the drill bit, which cuts the soil or rock formation to form the borehole.

 

Basically, Sinorock Self Drilling Anchor Bar  can be used as reinforcing elements for most applications for Ground Engineering and Civil/Construction as well as Mining principals in various ground conditions. Particularly considering the economic point of view the system is used in a variety of loose/unconsolidated soils and ground conditions ranging from clay, sand and gravel to inconsistent fills, boulders, rubble and weathered rock. Use of the Sinorock self-drilling anchor system in these conditions makes evident all the benefits and advantages of the system.
