Soil nail has characters of lengthening and cutting, so small-size drilling machine can beused. It is suitable for narrow environment, such as basement and metro construction.Without casing pipe, soil nail is better for stratum which is easy to collapse.

Throughdrilling, grouting and anchoring at the same time, soil nail bonds itself with stratum andhas reinforcement and permanent support effect.

Basement walls can be repaired using Soil nail anchors. This is accomplished by drilling asmall hole for the anchor rod to pass through the basement wall, and then excavating a holeoutside to place the bearing plate. A small high torque motor then rotates the screw anchorsystem into the soil. Once depth and predetermined torque is achieved, the anchor is terminated and a plate is mounted inside the basement wall to hold the wall in place. If thewall needs to be moved, then sufficient soil must be removed to allow the wall to move. The Sinorock soil nail retention wall system reinforces the earth to construct gravity walls.

The soil nail wall can be both temporary with a rough gunned finish or permanent with a wide range of architectural shotcrete finishes such as faux rock, patterns or flat troweled finishes. Advanced Shoring has installed over a million square feet of temporary and permanent soil nail walls in sizes ranging from 50 sf to over 50,000 sf and has adapted some of its equipment specifically to handle this type of work. We provide architectural shotcrete finishes through our sister company Advanced Shotcrete.
