The ShatterShield screen employed on the Moto Z2 Force uses a 5-layer system that keeps the AMOLED screen from cracking or breaking. When the device first launched, several owners were complaining about scratches on the outer layer of the display. Now, a new problem has popped up. Several owners of the Moto Z2 Force are complaining that the top protective layer on the ShatterShield system has started to peel off the Samsung Galaxy S4 repair parts . Those complaining about the peeling say that it is taking place around the fingerprint button, and on the corners of the screen. One theory is that the heat generated by the phone when charging, especially if a Moto Mod is attached, is causing the top layer of the screen to curl up on the corners and in other places too. UPDATE: Motorola has issued a statement: "Like all Motorola Samsung Galaxy S4 LCD screen replacement , the Moto Z2 Force edition goes through extensive accelerated life testing to help ensure it will stand up to the rigors of everyday life as part of its qualification for shipment. A small number of customers have reported the protective lens liner peeling on their Moto Z2 Force edition. Our standard policy for replacing the protective lens liner due to cosmetic damage is to offer a Liner Replacement Service for a nominal fee of $49.99. We believe these incidents are contained to a minimal quantity and will waive the fee for the affected consumers." In other words, if you own a Moto Z2 Force, Motorola will now replace the peeling layer for free. All you need to do is head over to the Motorola Return and Repair Center and request your free replacement. This will make your Moto Z2 Force display look out of the box new again.
